Summary of my essay

The topic that I am writing about for this essay is should parents let their kids play sports because of the concussions rates. This is my summary from my rough draft; let me know what you guys think!

When parents talk about concussions in sports, they automatically think about taking their children out of sports. Although the risk is high for a child to get a concussion if he or she is taught the wrong way, of course that risk will and can lower the risks of concussions if taught properly. The child would be better off in the long run instead of sitting on the couch and flipping through the TV stations. In the article “ Why Parents Should Let their Kids Play Dangerous Sports.” They talk about no matter what, sports will always be dangerous, and it’s a risk a parent is willing to take. Golinkin makes a statement in this article by saying “ He may break a leg or suffer a concussion, but he will be far better off for it over the course of his life then if he stays inside and plays video games.” (Golinkin.) When Golinkin states that in his article, he means that if a person takes their child out of sports, there could be more risk for that person’s child instead of a concussion.
